Old Fort Erie
Old Fort Erie is the reason that Fort Erie was designated a National Historic Site in 1931. It is the site of the War of 1812, the bloodiest battle in Canadian History. Here residents and visitors can enjoy musket demonstrations and learn about the history of Old Fort Erie via daily tours and annual reenactments that are held every August.
Fort Erie Race Tracks
The Fort Erie Race Track was opened on June 16th, 1897 and is home to one of the most picturesque infields in all of North America, filled with flowers and a beautiful lake. Fort Erie Race Track is the only horse racing venue in the entire Niagara Region and is home to several important annual events including the Prince of Wales Stakes and Puss N Boots Cup.
